Hawaii on a Budget
The Hawaiian Islands offer much for the sight seeker. The island of Oahu, on which I live, boasts many gorgeous beaches and lush dense mountains.
There are many educational and fun things you can do in Hawaii that are inexpensive or totally free. We are all looking for a great deal. Whenever I have visitors from the mainland, I tell them about the sites they can see without spending too much in the Hawaiian Islands. This is not a comprehensive list, but it includes some of my personal favorites.

Visit Temple Square in Salt Lake City
A highlight of our Christmas holidays was the time we went with someof our children and grandchildren to visit Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
Each year they decorate the trees with thousands of tiny colored lights. It is truly a winter wonder land with the majestic LDS Temple standing out in the midst of them.

Trick or Treat Trunking for Halloween Safety
Trick or Treat Trunking for Halloween Safety
Halloween can be a lot of fun, and it can also be dangerous for little children if they are not supervised by parents. Not every person out there have kind intentions towards the cute little goblins.
Our church started Trunk or Treating a few years ago. It takes much of the worry out of the holiday but leaves all the fun.
