Best Places to Visit in Mexico
With over 5,000 miles of beaches, warm weather and a rich history, it is
no wonder that Mexico is one of the most popular tourist destinations.
Personally, I have not been there yet, but many in my family have. I
researched this hub to find out where I would like to visit in Mexico. I
found that there are actually three different spots in Mexico that most
people travel to. I will discuss them below.
Besides the historical sites, there are over 150 museums. I love museums! Mexico is the birthplace of artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo. As an art student, I studied both of these artists and I found their work very interesting. I wouldn't mind traveling to Mexico just to see some of this artwork in person.
You might think you have tasted authentic Mexican food, but your taste buds will thank you for showing them the difference, or so I've heard. Tamales, burritos, tacos, and so much more. I do love Taco Bell, but would love to taste real Mexican food.
Architecture in Mexico is one of the major tourist attractions and includes haciendas, cathedrals and other amazing structures. Also the huge Mexican Mayan pyramids would definitely be on my list of things to see. Major settlements were built by the Mayan civilization in this area. I'm sure one of the highlights of visiting Mexico would be touring one of these historical sites.
The Yucatan peninsula is the most popular of the tourist destinations,
and encompasses the Riviera
Maya, otherwise known as the Caribbean Riviera. It is well known for the
Mayan Ruins, white-sand beaches and beach towns. This includes Cancun,
Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. My son and his wife traveled to Cancun for a
week last year and thoroughly enjoyed their experience.
Second in popularity is the Mexican Riviera. It includes 2,000 miles of beaches between Acapulco and Ensenada. Many cruise liners travel to this region regularly ending up at the Puerto Vallarta area, Cabo San Lucas, and Ixtapa. It is about time we take a cruise instead of flying. So this area could be a definite possibility.
The third most popular area tourists visit in Mexico includes Copper Canyon, Morelia and Mexico City which runs down the center of the country. This land boasts abundant marine and wildlife. There are occasional Mexican craft markets where you can pick up some treasures to take home. I have heard you can find some great bargains at some of the markets. I am sure I would love to go to a market for shopping.
I would love to hear from you if you have traveled to Mexico and what you enjoyed the most.

Hawaii Budget Attractions
The
Hawaiian Islands offer much for the sight seeker. The island of Oahu,
on which I live, boasts many gorgeous beaches and lush dense mountains.
There are many educational and fun things you can do in Hawaii that are inexpensive or totally free. We are all looking for a great deal. Whenever I have visitors from the mainland, I tell them about the sites they can see without spending too much in the Hawaiian Islands. This is not a comprehensive list, but it includes some of my personal favorites.

How to Treat Box Jellyfish Stings
How to Treat Box Jellyfish Stings

Who
doesn't love a visit to the beach on a gorgeous day in Hawaii? I know I
do! Grab the sunscreen, a towel and make your way down to Hukilau or
Pounders beach for a fun time in the sun. Great time, right? What could
ruin this perfect time? An influx of box jellyfish could do it.
Don't be fooled when you are venturing into the wild, including the
ocean, you must be aware of what aquatic creatures you may encounter.
Educate your children so they know what to do. These creatures are
willing and able to defend their territory, so respect them or you may
be sorry.

Images of Paradise
Paradise is different for each person. To me, paradise is a place where
you have no worries, everything is beautiful, and you can just relax and
live happily ever after. Colors are more colorful. Beauty is more
beautiful. Love is even more lovely. Is there really such a place? The
closest that I have come to this idyllic existence has been here in
Hawaii. Of course, it is not present every single day, but now and then,
in brief moments, there are little glimpses of what Paradise may be
like.

Fresh Shrimp Trucks on the North Shore of Oahu Hawaii
Have you ever eaten out of the back of a shrimp truck in Hawaii? No! Wow, you have been missing out! I live on the North Shore of Oahu within a few miles of some shrimp aquaculture farms where the shrimp are plentiful. Actually we have an ongoing battle between the North Shore Shrimp Trucks. No kidding! Some of them are stationary, and some move from place to place - why not - they are trucks!
We are just about an hours ride away from the big city of Honolulu, In fact, we are out in the country. Plenty beach, plenty ocean, and plenty out our way.
The prawns are harvested daily from ponds and cooked up fresh for the visitors and locals. Some of the shrimp trucks have been around for 15 years now. They usually have graffiti on the outside, but the insides of the trucks are modernized and clean.
You actually walk up to the window of the truck and make your order. Shrimp is usually served with two scoops of rice, optional macaroni salad, green salad, pineapple slices, or a lemon slide sometimes on a bed of shredded cabbage.
You can have your shrimp with garlic and butter, lemon butter, sweet andspicy, hot and spicy or with a soy-based sauce. The current price is around $12.00 a plate, but it is a large serving.
Some of the shrimp trucks have shelters nearby that you can sit under on picnic tables. You will want to grab plenty of napkins, because the shrimp can be a bit messy, especially if you have to peel the shrimp.
