Christmas 2018

We enjoy living close to our children and grandchildren. Robert returned from Afghanistan (thankfully) to join Abi and family. They are now living in Buckeye, Arizona and serving at Luke AFB and will be joining us for Christmas!! Yeah!

Liana, Siope, and Ileina still live five blocks from us. Siope continues to serve in the Tabernacle Choir as well as being Director of https://www.smarterparenting.com/team/ Liana tries to keep us all healthy along with those that seek her at Jordan Landing Clinic and she now serves as Relief Society President of her ward. Rachel Ileina is very active in student government at Copper Middle School and recently played the cello in her third Christmas concert.

Our three sons are involved in a joint venture called the World Card Series. They held a Kickstarter that raised funds to get it started. If you are interested in increasing your knowledge of geography and culture you can get your own at https://worldcardseries.com/ At the BYU-Hawaii university’s groundbreaking, President David O. McKay declared that “from this school, I’ll tell you, will go men and women whose influence will be felt for good towards the establishment of peace internationally”. Their hope is to influence others to be more aware of those from other countries and help fulfill this prophecy.

Our grandchildren are growing ever so fast. Israel is currently studying at BYU-Hawaii. Princess is going to Arizona State. Jakey attends Lehi High School and Zion recently played the Indian Chief in Peter Pan at Lincoln Academy. Anna got her driver’s license and she and Eryn have made it a goal to visit all the temples in Utah. Eryn competed in her first 4H horse show. Joseph James just earned his junior black belt in karate. Ali’i and Robbie have been very active in sports in their new schools. Izabella and Lily are our babies, even though they are ten years old. Both seem to have an affinity for art. They both bring so much joy and laughter to our family. We are so grateful for each and every family member and for their striving to be like Christ this year.

Isi continues to serve as a sealer in the Oquirrh Temple. We have taken our prophet’s words to heart in studying the scriptures, pondering and marking them more, and attending the temple regularly. Ruth and Liana are active in seeking out ancestor’s names to do the work for which brings great peace and joy. Ruth continues to tutor English to students in China, Japan, and Taiwan which she truly enjoys.

Dad Anderson has had a rough end of the year. He fell and dislocated his shoulder and broke some ribs. His health has not improved very much and he is now living in the Courtyard at Jamestown Assisted Living. Ruth’s brother, Kirk keeps close contact with him and the other siblings help him as much as possible.

I recently uploaded a new book for Dad, Robert H. Anderson on familysearch.org
