It's been 25 years since a member of the Royal Family in Tonga got baptized!…

I remember when the first Princess got baptized. The royals hurried around with their entourage to put her in a better situation than the commoners. She finally told everyone that she wanted to be treated like everyone else. She was so humble.

LDSface2face with Lindsey Stirling Nov. 25 | LDS Media Talk

Lindsey Stirling is a returned missionary and a world-famous
violinist and dancer. She will share her own story—including how she
learned to recognize her worth, how she shares the gospel, and how she
has risen above criticism to make a unique contribution to the world.

Lindsey will talk about overcoming trials, embracing who you are, and
not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lindsey said, “I was
told by so many people that I wouldn’t succeed because I was too
different. Ironically, the very reason that people watch my channel and
travel thousands of miles to see a show … is because it’s different. God
didn’t send us to earth to just blend in. We are here to share what
makes us unique.” Many of Lindsey’s YouTube videos get tens of millions
of views, and a few over 100 million.

Lindsey will also perform live songs at the event–some familiar
pieces and an original composition. One number will be a duet featuring a
special guest.

Youth around the world will have a chance to ask Lindsey questions,
moderated by Young Men general president David L. Beck and Young Women
general president Bonnie L. Oscarson.

The changing foliage colors remind me of the different seasons in life.
Being a great-grandfather now makes me realize that the colors of my life are changing too. How grateful I am for my wife, for the loving comfort and strong support she has been throughout my life. Next to the gift of life itself and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, Harriet is the greatest blessing which has come into my life.

My dear young friends, please use your hearts and minds to find a solid eternal
companion and then trust the Lord. If the result is not according to
your own timetable, stay the course, keep the commandments, and again
trust the Lord! Decide to be happy, because there are many seasons in
life.

Healthy Workouts

You usually think about stretching before you workout. But, what you eat before you workout is just as important. The same goes for what you put in your body after you are finished.

If you do not eat the right kind of food, exercising vigorously can actually compromise your immune system. Then you will end up sick instead of getting stronger.

Not
eating the right amount and kind of food before and after working out
can break down your muscles, and cause a depletion of your body's
essential nutrients.

You Are Better Than You Think You Are, Motivational Thoughts

You Are Better Than You Think You Are, Motivational Thoughts

I received a wonderful little book from my daughter written by Ardeth G.
Kapp, who is a great motivational speaker. We all have times when we
need a little boost - a little encouragement. This book is full of great
quotes and scriptures that can help out when we get discouraged or
overwhelmed.

Finding the Lost Sheep

Finding the Lost Sheep

You may have seen a recent video of fifty-five ducks on youtube
crossing a busy road. As these little ducks waddled in single file
across the highway, all the cars stopped and waited. Each duck was
considered important, and the drivers did not try to rush him or her or
find a way around or between them.

For behold, this is my work and my glory - to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." Moses 1:39

Each soul is precious in the sight of God. How can we assist Him in
His earthly mission, which is to help to bring to pass the immortality
and eternal life of every man and woman? How can we reach the so-called
Lost Sheep and bring them back to the fold?

I know the time of our life that we were the happiest is when we
concentrated on assisting in the Lord’s mission of finding His Lost
Sheep. For three years we had the exhausting but rewarding stewardship
over several hundred young men and women in the prime of their life.

My husband was called as mission president in Tonga when our two
oldest children were in high school and the younger two were in
elementary. So, as a mother, I had to learn to budget my time between my
own four children and the other Saturday’s warriors that we had
temporarily been given.

Hawaiian Ghost Short Stories I

Most people call them goose bumps, but in Hawaii, when you feel the presence of a ghost, or you are affected by a spooky story, we call it "chicken skin" . This is the sensation where you feel the hair rising on the back of your neck, your eyes get big, and your heartbeat races. There are many ghost stories from Hawaii which may give you "chicken skin".

One of the best ghost story tellers in Hawaii was Glen Grant. He just died in 2003, but had become very popular for his stories. He had a store in Mo'ili'ili called The Haunt where he became a giant in talking story about obake (telling tales about ghosts) These are some of the ghost stories that were shared by Glen Grant in his Chicken Skin Tales . Hope you enjoy this one.
